stitched the detached portion into a belt and added these buttons


then gathered a bit of the fabric of the tee and added the belt to it


and attached some stringed beads and done!

Kavisto 15 - Day 1

Ok,so finally it starts :P

Today, made a bag out of a fabindia top, which was...hmmm. lets say, not so fab anymore. here is what i used:-


first, i cut the fabric into the desired shape


Then sewed the sides, which leads to this


also added a pocket on the inner side


and finally added the circular handles and a string that was there in my tops neckline

A new modified addition.Needed a new pink locket, so i used these:-

To create 15 in 15

Oh yes, for 15 days am going to make something new each day (most prolly clothes). What remains to be seen is when would this project start. May Murphy bless me :D

Navratri finds

Navratri came and went, packed with lots of garba, great food and ofcourse dandiya. Along the way, i picked up a couple neckpieces in true gujju style. Mimicking shopaholic Becky, i would say "i've always wanted these".

Feeling the Blues!

Well, quite literally. A store near my home is like a bead mine. I usually get lost in the maze of beads :D. one such trip there, i collected blue crystal beads of different sizes and made this necklace:-

Back in my teenage, i used to like collecting some unique lockets. Here are a few :



i still use a few like the butterfly one (gifted by my friend), swallow, sun, yin yan and blue dolphin one.
